Without sounding like I doubt what you are saying.....can you explain why you think your engine has bad compression?

If it has had gallons of fuel through it....then it's possible that it's time for a new piston/sleeve/rod....etc.

If it's running fine....idles fine...etc....then your probably ok.

Give us an idea on what's the condition....use....age....of the engine.

Default Compression

If your engine has no compression, its typically based on the Piston and sleeve.
If this is the case then you would replace the Piston and sleeve.

If you are racing I would not advise this and go for a new engine.
To rebuild the engine for racing you would also need to replace the conrod and the crank. Of course the cost associated with this will buy you a new engine.

I dont replace the piston and sleeves in my engines as I have had bad experiences with such.
I sell off my engines when there is still some life in them and get new ones.

LOL

Well I have sold a couple of engines that were in bad shape, I never misrepresent though.
The last engine I sold was of course an MT-12, it had about 4 gallons through it but still had good compression.
Price was set accordingly and the buyer felt that he got a great deal.

While were on the topic I have a Used Nova Rossi, 2 Gallons of fuel through it, just been sitting for about 2 years.
I took it apart and sealed it up a couple of years ago, it fell behind some stuff and I found it a while back while cleaning my work bench.

Let me know if anyone wants it.
Cheap!

Default Rossi

LOL
Getting some PMs on this Rossi motor.

The Nova Rossi SX12 originally came in my Serpent Impulse Spec 2000.

Its a SG competition shaft, Carb Venturi has been smoothed and opened for more air. Needles and fuel connector were replaced with Brass parts.
Backplate and carb were sealed and thats about all I can tell ya.

No, it wont work in an RC10GT.

I would take $25 for it + shipping if anyone is serious.
Conrod, crank, head, and case are good for sure.
Good for the parts.

dbow are you saying you would sell it for $25? Let me know if you are, for that price is good just to show off a rossi crankcase even if it doesn't work! lol

Default Rossi

Yes sir, I would, $25 + shipping which would only be a couple of bucks.

The engine should run fine, but its been quite some time sitting, I have taken it apart several times as well.
THats why its so cheap because I just dont know, for parts your right $25 is a steal.

I aslo have an Ofna Colt as well might as well go for that too, it goes for $15 it runs fine but was in another life a pull start.
I removed the shaft and plugged the whole, engine has about 3 gallons through it when it was replaced.
I bought it new from Tower for $65 some years ago. Its equal to an O.S .12CV but was very cheap.
I actually tried to buy more after I ran it but they sold out, it is an ABC engine though unlike the O.S

Im not sure if they sell them anymore but was a o.k engine, nothing to scream about.
I actually have quite a bit of old stuff laying around but I need to go through it to see what all I actually have.

Anyhow, I can put up some pics of the motors and such if you guys want to take a look at em.

I would rather do paypal on these small amounts, I will be shipping some stuff out this Thursday so that would be a good time.

What up Crash,

These are limited edition race engines, you wont find any others like these....lol

Yeah the Rossi is toast but the conrod and parts are in good condition.
Ofna engine runs fine, maybe a gallon left on it.

I was not intending on actually selling them but hey if someone wants them for parts or whatever then you know whatever.

I dont sell much online, I trade locally most of the time so you really dont see me pushing much stuff.

It must be hard to part with such engines, eh?

For me...RCU is about the only place I can buy....sell....trade as we only have one Hobby Town near us but you hardly ever see people in there for trading or selling their stuff. There are a few young men who work there and they are big into the role playing games....like little soldiers that make up teams and they do battler against each other. Sorry...I don't know what it's called.

In fact....I just traded an airplane today with a guy from Virginia. He said they have about 6 inches of ice on the ground and it's suppose to warm up into the 40's tomorrow so he can hopefully get back to work.

WHEW!!! Sorry for the rambling!
