BaldEagel,

Those look very good. I use the ones from PSP, nice quality.

They do look nice also, but don't have the bling factor of the 3W one, plus these are available in the UK havn't seen the others over here.

The 3W dots look good but for functionality the PSP dots are hard to beat. They are inexpensive also. I have them on 5 gassers.

How do you hook the fuel dot line back to the tank? Never use a dot before (only fueling valves). Would like to try the dot idea some day.

The line that supplies the carb is cut and a "tee" is inserted into the line. The third opening in the tee is used to connect to the dot. It's that simple. Pull the plug and fill and de-fuel the tank. Insert plug and push the line back into the dot and you're done.

This may be more information than you want but here goes. On my planes I use a check valve in the tank vent line. When I fill the tank I open the vent line fuel dot for the fuel tank to overflow when it is full. When I finish filling the tank I put fuel dots (plugs) in the fill line and overflow (vent) line. As the engine uses fuel air goes into the tank through the check valve.

The first photo shows the fuselage lying on it's right side. You can see the lines plugged by the fuel dots. Of course when you pull the fuel dot out of the feed through aluminum fitting the fuel line comes with it. The second photo shows the various lines.

Of course, a simpler method is to use a fill and vent line. The fill line is plugged with a fuel dot after filling. The vent line is left open. The vent fuel dot is handy for plugging the line while transporting or storing.

Big_bird and Silversurfer,

Thanks for the info. Appreciate it. One more question on the simple method. Will the gas go to the carb through the tee (and thus flood it) while fueling? The fueling valve will shut off the flow to the carb.

Thanks again.

On a gasoline engine it will take a lot more pressure to lift the needle off of the seat in the carburetor than you will have while fueling the tank through the "T".

Short answer is no, you will not ever flood the engine.
