Hi Guys,

I am having to fit trim tabs on my 45" shallow V mono and was just wondering if there are any set rules re where on the transom they need to be placed. ie I know setting them up the Top of the V wouldn't do much but wondered if there was a general rule as in inches from the prop shaft up the V.

It depends on where the boat rides, but for most boats, the tab would be mounted 1/2" from the chine. If the boat rides higher, then further in might be needed.
