Default suggestions for a p80

Hi guys,
Lately there are a lot of airframes that are designed for mw44, and p60-70 class engines and on the other hand for p160 and larger class engines. Somehow, there arent many exciting ones for the old 18lbs (p80) class engines. I have one such engine spare and was wondering what airframe I can consider for it. Would prefer to avoid the roo/rookie kind of planes. Any suggestions?

Jet legends Gripen. It is suppose to be very fast. I think it is in that range of power.

A 1/8 F-16 would be a nice choice

Ragz,

Actually, I just succeded in stuffing a P-80 into an old A10X. It required a bit (not much) of modification to the center section to get it in, but it flys GREAT with that motor. If you're interested in a sport jet, its now being sold by X-tremejets:

I should also mention that I made some slight mods to my A10X to reduce any tendency to tip-stall, but those are not required and that may not be an issue with the new version...

2 out of the 3 jets are not available. At least not to normal customers.

I flew my bomerang XL with a P-80 in the past and was good flyier but you can get boring with that power. Now I have an Super Eagle on it. If not in a hurry wait for the Elan, better choice. Another good choice is the new SM L-39 arf plus. The new gripen will be a rocket! My friend is flying first generation gripen with a P-80 and is very fast.

I have a P80 that I plan to pull out of my BVM MIG15.

Do you think a JL F16 (1/8) would be too small for it? How about the tank size?

Mike
