GAS LIFE SPAN

RE: GAS LIFE SPAN
Hard to put a number on it. Gas itself has a pretty long life. It is through contamination that this is shortened. The speed in which it may be contaminated will depend on what it is stored in, where it is stored, and how old it was when stored.
I dont usually keep it more than 6 months - stored on a shelf in the basement. I find the smell of the gas changes over time. If I have doubts as to the age of it I will get a new can - it is not worth the hassle.
For some reason I feel a little more comfortable keeping white gas longer.

RE: GAS LIFE SPAN
If you've got some fuel stabilizer, like "Stabil" added to your gas, it should stay good for quite some time. In the end, if my gas doesn't seem to run good in my boat engines, I'll just use it in my weedeater or leaf blower and get some fresh gas for the boats .
