Your Hawk looks good Geoff, where did you find that unusual colour scheme?

Hi Mick,

The scheme is one applied to a 100 SQDN hawk between 1992-1994 to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the squadron.

I found it in World Air Power Journal volume22 page 57.

Its also on the web :-

If you are interested there are more photos on this RCU thread

Dave,

are you going to post the picture of the spectacular low level knife edge pass you did with the BobCat? I have one just moments after but I don't want to steal the spotlight.

Hi Jason, the only shot I could get of your bobcat, you were going too fast during every other part of the flight.

I thought about it...and thought No

I have a nice shot of your BC 45 degrees nose up and low.

Big thanks to all the hard workers and it was great to see Chris Gregory behind the grill...

Yepp, great day, I took a weather gamble to drive the 200 miles south for the day, got some flying done and caught up with a few friends. Glad the weather held out just enough for the day.

Nightmare journey back home up the M6 through the rain.

Got some footage of Colin Gardner's fantastic Firebird, I'll try to post a video link later, think I managed to keep one high speed low pass just about in frame.

Thanks Dick and all the other guys (and girls) that worked so we could enjoy the flying.

Rob.

Hey Dick,

You told me it was low. There must be at least 2 foot airspace in reserve. Must try better next time!

The funny thing is Trev's Hawk and my Hawk are like brothers as they are both done in 100 sqdn colours and also mine is xx312 and Trevs is xx313. They was purely by accident as we hadn't discussed colour schemes.

Weather wasn't typical...it only rained a couple of times during the day...

I think a lot of registered pilots stayed away and missed some good flying and the chance to buy a new JMA shirt or cap!

Dave,

Just for info, we had 56 pilots enter and 46 registered on the day...seemed like plenty of flying was done, despite the breeze (only a few 'girls' stayed ground-borne!). I forgot to take a picture of the JMAs new polo shirt range wrapped around Jason's fine body...despite that, I believe sales of shirts and caps have been brilliant...I left it too late to get a charcoal cap, so when the JMA re-stocks, keep me one pse!

Cheers,

Dick

Yes, perfect number of people for a good amount of flying.

We are re ordering soon so caps should be available again in the next few weeks-I have some stock of polo shirts if people want to get in early, only light blue caps at this time.
