Try this,
From: London, UNITED KINGDOM
Easy solution re the CG in the Intro (Baby Boomerang). measured with no fuel in the tanks. wheels down
The CG without the hatch on falls right on the former behind the fuel tank. If needed, nose weight will not hurt the flying a bit.
Pick it up or hang it by that former and it should balance right on it.
Alan

Hi, i know where the c 0g g is on the intro artf baby boomer, but what i dont know is if the KIT built Boomarang is the same. I have both the intro and the kit boomerang and they are diffrent models so would have thought the c of g would be diffrent.

Thanks all for your imput so far, but i need the c of g for the kit built from plan Baby Boomerang.

Thanks

Paul

The only kit boomerang I know about was the large one as seen in my pic below.

I just checked my old plans & the CG is at the leading edge of the wing tube.

Alan made a large Boomerang kit first. Then he made a smaller wood and foam kit called the Baby Boomerang. After that he made the Boomerang Intro which was an ARF since that's what the market wanted. Then he made the Boomerang XL, also an ARF. Now he is making a mid size ARF called the Elan. It costs at least a case of beer (none of that Ale stuff) at the next jet meet if you get this wrong .

You are asking about the kit version Baby Boomerang which is different from the Intro in structure, but not aerodynamically. I would use the Intro's CG location, as they have almost identical aerodynamic planforms.

I will look for my plans and documents since I built one. But I'm sure Alan will beat me to it and help you out first.

Hi, i pm'ed Alan. He has said it is the same as the artf intro. So you are correct. Many thanks for the advice

Regards

Paul

P.S. Took the Wren 54 out of the airframe and dropped a 18Lb kj66 into it. I took out the lipo pump battrey and added a sub c for the kj. The model is spot on balance. Weight gone up fron 14lb with the wren to 16lb with the kj66. I am hoping it will fly like my intro 19lb with a 21lb p80.
