First Time At Track
I just got back from the local track about an hour ago. I had a ton of fun!! Racing is a lot harder than it looks. My tires were horrible, it was like using drifting tires. I spun out a couple of times. My tune was good when I was in the pits but once I put it on the track it bogged a lot. So on to my story, I shut my t-maxx off a few minutes and I went back to get ready to rip. I start it up, it starts up perfectly and I give it some go go-juice and the wheels don't spin . The people at the track told me it's the clutch shoes. I think it is to so I will order some up on Monday. My question was is there a certain set of clutch shoes you guys recommend? If not then I will order up some MIP's. I have gone through 2 sets of traxxas clutch shoes now. I marshalled a little bit after my t was messed and one of my buddies Sam let me run his MBX5-T. DAMN this thing was FAST!!!!! It could actually turn too . I think I'm in love, I don't think I will be able to get my maxx to turn as well as this but I'm happy with what I have. Also I want to get another clutch bell. The track has a lot of tight turns so I want to be able to accelerate out of the turns quickly. The track also has a long straight so I need SOME top-end for that. Right now I am running 20/72 gearing. Would lowering the number of teeth on the clutch bell give me better acceleration?
Thanks, XF
Thanks, XF

the t-maxx is fun, you can make it work for track, but it won't beat a buggy or truggy like what your friend has.
I think of my t-maxx as a serious building platform. I can see it being competitive, but not in its nearly-stock state that it is in now.

if you think a revo can beat a truggy or buggy you're totally off. And $35 a year is REALLY cheap for a yearly fee. Ours is $75

uhh... clodbusters and juggernauts.... And the t-maxx wasn't made because of those. Those 2 trucks are COMPLETELY different.
