New BME 50cc Sport Model Engine
Here is the new BME 50cc engine.
To my knowledge this will be the first in a new line of engines released from BME.
This will be a quality made engine, Assembled and Serviced in the good old USA by BME and priced to compete with less expensive foreign engines

RE: New 52cc Engine
Mid summer sinergy. I "think" the 55cc was finally dropped because of feasibility reasons.
altavillan--Keith is very particular about all aspects of his engines, I still think the 110 is much better looking than any other engine he has produced. I like that fluting on the hub, have a rifle very similar to that.

RE: New 50cc Engine
It is a tad under 2.8lbs as shown in the picture, no muffler or ignition.
I do not have any rpm #'s yet
Here is another picture

Thanks RTK and congratulations Keith and BME, nice looking! I'd love to see some numbers. Nice case too. !~).
Probably like the old BME50? 21-8 at 7200?
What will the future bring in an upper class of 50cc engines from BME?

RE: New 50cc Engine
Thanks guys. The 58cc will be right behind this engine provided nothing crops up but it better not as I have many many dollars worth of 58cc crankshafts sitting on the shelf and crankcases being machined as we talk. You can bet this engine will sell like hamburgers at McDonnalds. Its not the most powerful 50cc on the market but can hold its own and fly any class 50cc plane. The way its constructed makes it virtuallyimpossible to wear out just like the old BME44 and 50. Its the lightest 50cc soon to be on the market and the beefy mount makes it easy to mount on stand offs or spacers without fear of breaking. I think the best part of this engine is that we do the assembly, quality control, and service on it here at Chinese pricing. The 58cc is not going to be so inexpensive but if your looking for performance it has no equal.
Thank you

Fine, now get to work on the 157.5 cc, 12 to 1 compression, light as a feather engine. Getting an itch to get a Flyfan Raven just because Wayne Handley was such a class act at Reno.

RE: New 50cc Engine
I hope this engine will "actually" get released. I have a 110 and have been a BME fan, but after being on both 55 extreme lists over the course of about 4 years now, I am skeptical. BME has lost all credibility with me when it comes to the release of motors. Like I said I hope to be proven wrong, but twice bitten, forever shy.

I hear your pain xcellheli and I totally agree with you. All I can do is ask for your forgiveness and your understanding in that you would want us to put out a problematic or inferior product no more than we would. I can tell you that there was no less than six 55/58cc engines designed or tested before we found the one we were happy with.

If he used a 110 head, he would have to use a reed block and the cost would go up. The 110 cylinder doesn't have a carb port. They may not be stock Echo parts and cost much more as a result.

I wonder why it does not have one of the 110 heads.
