I cut mine and I like it better. I automaticaly adjust for the torque of the rotor and I think it flies better. If I got another one, i would cut them too... good luck

I just got my Feda DragonFly (aka HummingBird) and it has the gear level. Seems fine but I do have a training u/c on it. Just like moos4bkfst I am automatically compensating at take off.

I love it !!

Default Cut mine

I cut mine and don't notice any difference . If you are new to helis I would recommend waiting until you have no problems taking off and then cut them even .

Crow eating time!!!

It's a credible copy.
Can't go wrong for $79.95.
Here's my "............bird" outfitted with

GWS R4P Sub Mini Four Channel Receiver
GWS Pico BB servos
GWS 100 FP main motor ESC
GWS 50 FP T/R ESC
Micro Z72 3" tuned tube antenna
CSM HLG 200 HH gyro ( great little 8 gram package)
2S 1020mah Kokam Lipoly pack

Getting 20 min average flight times.

I don't think Benny Hill thought much of it nor did my bride who took the pics in out entertainment center room.

I cut the landing gear to sit level as well. I kinda thought it was set up on the slant for some sort of tourqe compensation at take-off. Anyhow, looks a lot better sitting level. Glad I did it.

Still being very new, I was afraid to cut anything and end up regretting it, so I took one of the landing gear sides from a crash kit that I bought when I got my Hummingbird. I put it on and I now can choose from a set that is higher and a lower set, or I could always make is lean again. Just an idea.

I broke my landing gear on my ESKY, had no spares so I fabricated some out of a hanger, they are stronger and work better than the stock...check it out:

I boguht a feda dragonfly also. The coat hanger idea was the first thing I did. I haven't broken a strut since. I also cut down my blades, flybar and boom . I can fly it really easy in the house now. Very steady.

Another easy, lighter fix is to drill the holes in the new set of skids all the way through with a 2mm (.079") drill bit. Then just push the CF rods all the way to the bottom of the skids. A drop of CA at the joint and you're done.

I haven't broken a single skid since this mod, still flexes enough to take the shock of a hard landing and won't bend like wire.

This will work with any micro heli that uses the similar type of skid design.

That is exactly what I do when I install the coat hangers.I bend them a little also so they fit right in the slot of the stock skids.I can let off throttle and let my copter drop like a rock from 4 feet and not take any damage. Just bend the coat hanger right back and it's fixed. Try that with the stock struts

Just to add to the DIY landing gear direction - here is a pic of the LG we fabricateed for my brother's Piccolo. It deforms in a crash, absorbing impact like the crumple zone in a car. Just bend it back with your hands nad keep flying. We used hot glue to hole it together. Hot glue stays flexible rather than the brittle CA joint.
