Default New Nitro truck advinsing needed.

Hello i am new to the forum. Its summer time and I want a new nitro truck. I currently have an emaxx and i have a lot of experience with it. There isnt a part on there that hasnt been replaced. The emaxx was a blast for the 3 years i owned it. There is new school being built where i live with a HUGE field, just waiting for me. Short story, the emaxx just doesnt do it any more. I hate recharging batteries, thus nitro.
I am looking for a vehicle that can pretty much do everything. Something that can fly over grass handle pavement and jump. More off road then onroad, and not too severe for jumping.
I cannot make up my mind.
I would have bought the traxxas jato 3.3 ages ago if it were 4WD.(any news that they will come out as 4WD?)
I am really leaning toward the jato but i really want 4WD.
How is the reliability of jato and what parts break first?
Any other suggestions?
Thanks.

welcome to the forum

defently a revo 3.3. you WILL NOT be dissapointed. it can pretty much do everything. some people even think it can swim...thats one thing it cant do. but anyway it is a GREAT truck. 4x4...all u need is fuel, a 7.2v battery and charger for for the ez start. check out the traxxas web site for lots of info. www.traxxas.com.

it is very reliable if u know how to treat the engine. and u can upgrade just about every part. it is a very common truck so u will have lots of people to help u with problems. first upgrades IMO should be RPM arms, new air filter and pipe, FOC (foreward only conversion) and maybe new wheels and tires. you will learn what these things are if u dont already know as u go. good luck.

Revo all the way. 100%.

Revo would be my first choice, but since you have an e-maxx, you may want to consider the t-maxx because many of the parts are interchangeable and then you could keep a common parts stock for both of your trucks. The Revo is definately better for a track, but since you have an e-max, you would already be familiar with the t-maxx and would be able to use spares on either truck.

The Revo 3.3 was my first step into the nitro world. It has been a good time. I love everything about it, and the stock motor is really strong for being a RTR motor. If you look around you can find one for under 500 bucks shipped. I hear the T-Maxx is a great basher truck though. The Revo can go either way as far as being a basher or track racer.

Revos are alright but everyone has em...at least at the track I go too...i'm usually the only one with a Tmaxx...which is great for me.....especially when they say stuff like what on earth did you do to that Tmaxx to make it run like that......yes its that impressive...

just don't go trying to do 9 foot jumps with a revo every day (thats high not long) they don't like it, at mine doesn't, but hey i got money to burn.

the revo is a great truck, good for a first nitro, a lot of people have them so it's easy to get tech support for, it's fast for what you wanna do, and it's fairly reliable as long as the jumps arn't to high with very bad landings.
