how many teeth does the spur have? If you browse around the HPI site, you will find a chart about the different Spur/CB combos that can be used, and which dont work.

and, maybe they dicided to change things, HPI loves to do that.. like the later savage X 4.1 kits came with alum diff cups, and all kinds of nice other things, to where i remember the savage coming with a little button filter....
So let us know what sizes you got with the truck... and check those with the included list on the box.

so im taking the pitch is the same? when i stripped the spur my lhs shop sold me some for a 4.1 and i cant keep one on there for more then 5 minutes

and the middle bushing size are different placing it in a different location on the clutch bell...
