Default Modded the REVO allot.

I got some parts for my revo a few weeks ago, I put about $650 AUD in it in this order alone and it had some other stuff on it before hand. It has a long way to go but it is starting to look decent.

Traxxas revo 2.5r
picco .26 max
Ofna engine mount
dynamite 053 pipe
spectrum dx 2.0 radio system
Hi-tec 5955 servo
Tekno radio box conversion
Tekno wing mount
Tekno throttle servo mount
Hellfire wing
Forward Only Conversion
Crowd pleaser 2.0
Roto start
Roto start backplate
spektrum z590 throttle/break servo
HPI .21-.28 Air filter

Lots of other stuff I missed, I am tired.

man looks sweet, as i was going down i was thinking, only thing missing is the air filter lol, then i got to the pic with it, i just got my savvy filter for my revo today as well.

now you need some new thread and mags and your set, let the picco rip the stockers to shreds then get some new ones, seen en on e bay for $99 AUS for 4 pro line white 40's dish rims with bow ties plus like $6'50 shipping, once the stockers are ripped up you should look into them.

lol just spent $650 and i'm saying go more, last time i went down to the LHS it was $980 [:-]

Yeah mate, I can see how you can spend a grand at an LHS over here very easily. All in all I have spent about $1700 in this thing, I have saved ALLOT of cash buying from the US. I got ripped off bad when I was a newb, I payed $1050 for my savage and I was going to buy a revo 3.3 stock for $1250 from the LHS, NOT ON. The thing about the 40 series is, I need the half offset 40's to clear the side pipe, and if I want half offsets, I need 23 mm. I will be putting in another order with amain in a few months.

Qoncepts engine bay brace
40 series half offset dish rims
Black proline HD wing
Bow Ties 40 series
Dace 23 mm adapters.

Should set me back a bit of money. It's either that, or an xbox 360 and forza 2, not sure yet, I really want forza (only reason I wan't a 360 lol). I need some stuff for motocross too. God these hobbies are expensive lol. I wish I had an adults income, a 15 year olds income is hard for this stuff lol.

yeah thats true, only reason i dont buy from the states is because up until 6 days ago i had no way to get money there except money order, which takes up to 3 weeks and can get lost in the mail, i'm most likely be getting a lot of parts from tower (or really any online store based in the states) now and just bulk buying to lower the shipping.

oh and $111 is expensive, but my LHS wanted me to give him $200 for the exact same wheels and tires lol, i'm glad i wasn't paying for it then, hobby shops over here rip us off big time for shopping there, $67 for OWB, i just got one shipped from new south for $20.

Towers shipping is pretty savage, it's either crap shipping or the best in the world. Amain has better shipping, 3-5 days tracked and insured but much cheaper, tower only stocks a few things that amain doesn't. I can't fault tower though because in January when I ordered my revo, I put in a few order codes and saved like $100 AUD.

I see you had the EZ-start on in the first few pics. Why did you take it off? Did it work or just melt?

the ez start isn't the best starter system, the roto start is much better, no wire on the car, and no start motor to weigh it down, it's just better.

Looks great man. I noticed in a few of the pics it looks like you dyed or painted the stock rims.

you can use either 14mm or 17mm hexes with the Axial beadlock rims, they come in .8" offset, and use 40 series tires. and the price in AUD should be about $75 for 4 rims.

Beadlocks are a little heavier though. Oh and pro-line makes 1/2 off-set in standard size also. Heres the link: [link=http://www.pro-lineracing.com/proline.html]Just choose a color.[/link] The only thing is there 17mm. Honestly the 23mm is to much and not needed. Lugnuts for my buddies mustang are only 17mm. Thats on a real car none-the-less.

LOL Brushless, I saw the axial beadlocks at the hobby shop in town the other day, they come in a green box with a clear window, correct? $90 AUD for two rims and the beadlocking system etc, etc,

RCnitrohead, the actual game is apparently MUCH MUCH MUCH better than the demo.

CeverR6, yeah, the stock rims are dyed, I baked the tires off the rims in the oven, got oven cleaner and took the chrome off then dyed the rims.

RevoVega, Thanks man, although I have been in the darkside since I got the truck, I did buy the truck brand new, but I had a picco shipped from tower with it, lol, the 2.5r never even got started.

x5t1j the EZ start is a pile of crap, roto or starter box FTW. The EZ start has wires and it's just a PITA, especially when you loose the red button and need the allen key to hotwire it lol.

Thanks everyone, it still has a LONG WAY TO GO lol.

Thanks Kawasakirider for the reply but I wanted to keep the EZ-start. I know alot of people dont like it. Between my friends and I we have six trucks. Some with Piccos .26, 3.3s, and Sirio.23s the EZ-start works good on all of them. Its just convient when you roll your truck and the closest guy can just walk over to it and start it up for you and off you go. I still have the resonator on my Picco and I think its holding it back. I have a MGT pipe on the way (if it ever shows up) but I was thinking of going side pipe. Thats why I asked. Nice truck I like all the mods you did.

I meant if you buy the rims from tower hobbies, the shipping might be more but it will be cheaper than $180.
