Removing the pull start entirely requires some dremel surgery which I dont recommend to you seeing recognizing that you may not be so proficient. Mistakes in this case lead to disaster and nothing short of it! I wouldnt reccomend fooling with it yet. Just buy another one or LEAVE the broken pull start in there and use a Starter box if you can.

What are you talikng about buggies? There's no dremeling required. Simply remove the pull start cover, pull all the guts out, seal the rope hole in the cover, and reinstall the cover. Done. This is what I did with my TT .15 and it worked great.

Converting PS to non-PS "properly" requires cutting off the button from the crank (thus dremel) and buying a non-PS cover plate. There are other ways so I guess both of you guys are correct.

Whoa Whoa grampi slow down. That's pretty serious advice. Just take the pull start OFF!
