which car is faster?
What is faster? The cen CT5 or the Traxxas nitro 4-tec? The cen ct5 claims its the fastest RTR but on the chart that the CT5 homepage givs is really outdated.

I just did a bunch of research between these, and I ended up wtih a CT5.
The cool thing about the CT5 is that they give you some extra belts and pulleys so that you can have either a high or low gear ratio. The one set acutally does 73 MPH which is a bit faster than the 4tec, and the other set gives the car insane accel, perfect for short track racing.
besides that, some of the differences I have noticed between my CT5 and my buddys 4-tec are:
Ct5 4-tec
dogbones u jointed shafts
open electronics reciever box
plastic pipe aluminum pipe
alum uper chassis plastic upper chassis
c/w digital AM radio poor radio (tq-2 or something)
other than those things, these cars are VERY similar in layout and design.
The thing that really pushed me to the CT5 are that I had a traxxas 3.3 engine and it was TERRIBLE. COmpared to most other engines ive had, it was just a piece of junk.
so, back to your simple question, the CEN is faster in a straight line with its top speed drivetrain installed.
accel wise, the 4 tec has a bit of a jump on the cen, unless you install the cens lower speed kit, then the cen has better accel and worse top speed.
