Default Scratch built?

I am assuming that this is a scratch built design. Is it a Gus Morfis design? The P38 seems to be rising in poipularity....at least among builders. Is this to be a hand launch or do you plan on putting on landing gear or even retracts?

Default It´s a scratch ;-)!

Hy.. it´s a scratch build.. a Bill Scott plan (i have it on the computer.. if you´d like i can send it to you..)..
it´s made to be hand launch but i´m planning in putting a landing gear (1 1/2" wheels)... with 5/32" wire...
i´d like if you guys can send some comments...;-)

Default P-38

Way to cool. My personal favorite.Let us know how it flies...At the risk of my squeeky soap box, make sure the engines are absolutely reliable.
Good Luck,

Default P-38

Rodrigo:

It looks great. Nice job on the ribs.

Are you going to invert the 15s? As I told you, I did not because I did not want to have problems with flooding. My P-51 had that problem, until I lowered the line and put on an on-board glow driver.

Nice paint job, I just moncoated mine. I still promise to get some pictures of mine being built up here when I get a chance.

Still have not flown mine. It's snowing again so there goes the field for a couple of days.

Hope to get out next week.

Alan

Default Reply..

Hy KG2MV...
I did not invert my engines,,, it´s my first twin.. and i´m still learning ..don´t think inverting them will be a verry good idea at first...
Today i just ran a full 6 ox tank through my engines on my test bench .. with servos and receiver.. just to see if u can get a good sync... they both did well.. i´ll definetively use a Y for the engines.. becaus i´m having problemas with the channel 3... sometimes it get´s "stuck"... and the channel 4 moves.. i can´t afford that on the air .. i´ll use a y..
i´ll really love to see some pictures of your model.. mine is still oh hold because of some deisgn thinking ;-)).. i´ll keep you guys posted..
tnks for all the replys

Oxymoron!!! A contradiction in terms. Like an honest lawyer.

And that's MY soapbox.

Draw your own plan, you're "in like Flynn."
. Not your design? Forget it, try again.

Bill.

PS Did you know it was only 99% of the lawyers who give the rest a bad name? Haw. wr.
