Crank cutting?

Default Crank cutting?

Is there any special way to "Cut" a threaded crank?

Put the engine in a plastic bag and poke the crankshaft through the bag(this will keep metal shavings off the engine)put the flywheel
and pilotshaft on to see how much to cut off.Take them off and cut a little at a time and then rechecking with the flywheel/pilotshaft
until it is the right size.

its good to leave a nut on it so after you cut it. When you take the nut off. it will clean the threads up

Ooooooh, good idea! Haven't heard of this one yet, but my next engine will certainly be bagged before hacked...

That's a good one too! And file the edges you cut too, to clean up burrs.
