Default Engine stalling

Recently I put a 3.3 engine in my 2.5 revo. It runs great until it starts to warm up, then every time I hit the brakes it stalls. what am I missing

Check the idle gap first. It should be about the width of a credit card (1mm-2mm).
If that's right then it's likely a tuning issue and you'll need to give us a bit more info on what the engine is doing. Like sounds, how hot when it stalls, current needle settings if you know them, etc.

Check to make sure your throttle trim is set to zero. If you use the trim to up the idle, then when you hit the brakes it will stall. Here is a good article explaining what I mean.

But, like Dave said, you may have a tuning issue as well

If the idle gap is set correctly the engine will not stall no matter what the trim setting.

Dave, he is referring to people who use the trim to set the idle gap rather than using the idle stop screw. It is actually a very common mistake. People set the idle with the trim, so when they apply brakes it closes the slide (because the stop screw is not set properly)

Tommy, you're right, I miss-spoke. I meant if the idle stop screw is set correctly it will not stall.

Just food for thought...Both the 3.3 engines we have were pretty rich out of the box. One was close enough that once you hit the 1/2 tank lean out it was running like a banshee, but the other just gurgled and sputtered.

They're susposed to be very rich out of the box. Often the factory settings are even too rich for break-in and must be leaned some. Once break-in is done all nitro engines must be tuned for performance. If you've left your carb at factory settings then you are not getting anywhere close to optimum performance.
