G10 is Fiberglass sheet?
Maybe you could try RadShack, for the price McMaster-Carr charges, you should be able to buy 1/16" fiberglass pc board and the acid to etch off the copper on each side, and have some left over for a Baskin-Robbins!

(I wasn't able to verify that RadShack still sells the f/g boards, the ones they sell may be phenolic, but there should be an electronics store somewhere that will sell it, in fact it should be available bare, copper on one side, and copper on both sides)

Good luck

Why not just leave the copper on ? Copper is used for gaskets in the auto world. Just saying it might work well. Add a skim coat of Permatex copper plus rtv and seal it up. There is a guy who uses the radio shack sheets to build planes with. He uses it to mount retracts to for spar's all sorts of stuff. I use it to Make Parallel conectors for lipo's I solder bullets to it and it works good for it.

I bought a peace off Ebay and had it in about 3 day's and a lot cheaper than I could find it anywhere.

Already machined a few parts from it and it worked great.

Copper isnt suitable at all because that insulator is a must for a gas engine to prevent vapor lock(heat transfer to carb from block).Gas engines have hotter blocks than glow.Glow has no need such an insulator but a gas engine has to.
