5T
Hey everybody
Been playing with the Savage for some time now.
You all know the story, tough, fun, lots of upgrade to spend/waste your money on.
Am wondering for a company like HPI, now that they like sort of bed in the Savage in the market
Are they complating a 5T ? as in the same vein in Baja5B
Would not mind a big truck that is basically the same as Savage, lots of ground clearance to clear long grass, tough for bashing, no more messing around with glow ignitor, methanol, and all that hassle.
Imagine a 5T doing some big air ! like wow, the sound of it hitting the ground is enough for me
Yes there are quite a few 1/5 scale trucks around, but with a track record of Savage, how can you go wrong
It would sure open up a huge segment for HPI, bashing in 1/5 scale.
The 5B is nice, but it still not a truck, and does not lend well in bashing.
Nice for roaring around, but bashing ? like serious bashing.
Your opinion...

RE: 5T
i understand. i have jumped my savage higher and landed harder too, but the savage has TVPs, awesome suspension, and is 8 lbs less give or take. imagine spearing 20 lbs on an a-arm at 30 mph and driving away[X(]

Well to me, it more like a case of a monster truck that rings my bell.
Somehow jumping a Baja is not the same.
To me, just up scale everything on the Savage, surely that should able to handle the weight then isnt it
I meant like Savage can handle most of the stress at the moment, so just up scale it.
Looking at the scale of the Savage, like the 5T probably be needing a wheelbarrow size tyres next !!
Man just cannot wait for when HPI show up with a 5Truck. I be first in line for one.
You know it sort of like come to me just now, where the heck are we running this thread then ?
Giant Scale or HPI Monster Truck forum ?

RE: 5T
Oh, almost drop my money for one of those Baja5B, NZ$2000 here
But somehow it still not right to bash a Baja
Incidently used to work on a real Baja type car, and one time we had a crash, and that rear curve bar on the third pic above on that car was right next to impossible to straighten.
Real ones have 8 Bilstein shocks with reserve reservour
