Default FLM Hybrid 1/8 Bulks and A Arms

I was fortunate enough to find a set of NIP Setback arms I was going to install on the FLM Hybrid Bulks. I am kinda shocked to find out that they do not fit. The spacing between the mounts is too narrow for severl types of arms I have tried. I really do not want to hack at either the arms or the bulks to make them fit. It is only a few thou off but enough that they will not fit.

I was just curious if anyone else had run into this problem and how they resolved it.

Thanks for the reply. I know I can get them to work if I hack at them with a dremmel. I just do n't want or think I should have to do this. All the a arms I have measured are with a thou of each other. Wht can't flm design and produce a part that fits rather than have customers hacking away at new products.

I guess I just have a beef with manufacturers making decisions that are sub par. If I had this attitude in my business, I wouldn't have a business.

I will take this up with FLM and see what happens.

it is because they are greedy, they're not interested in producing quality parts, they are interested in money, not reliseing that they will make a hell of a lot more money buy making quality parts and gaining a good reputation then making shabby cheap parts like integy.

Thats so true. A lot of younger people think that things just "work" at higher levels of business, but thats not always true. I have coworkers (and executives) who act like that, and we're supplying generators to hydropower plants around the world - so one would think we'd have our **** together, but we dont always. And its the same at every facet of every industry I've been involved with.

Again, the vast majority of people are good at what they do, but things are always smooth.

So, should I break down and file, hack, dremmel the bulks or see if FLM will replace, repair them? I could take them to a local machine shop and have them shaved slightly but that just doesn't seem right to me. FLM is closed until Monday and I am having a hard time waiting to use my UE setback arms. Maybe if I find the patience, I will give FLM a shot. I will post back what happens.
