RE: Has anyone built this plane??
Dan, I have an Ace 4-20 I converted to electric. I replaced the ply fuse with balsa. I just used the ply fuse for patterns and cut them out using 1/8 balsa I believe. As far as weight, I have no idea what the Bingo should be. My 4-20 comes in at around 35 oz. with battery.
I built a new wing last spring after a tree grabbed it several years ago. Don't know why I waited so long to build a new wing, but it flies great with a Hyperion 3014 series motor and 3S pack.
Also check in the glow planes forum. You may have better luck there.
good luck with your build. cheers jollyroger

RE: Has anyone built this plane??
I have an Ace 4-20 I converted to electric. Thanks for the info on your 4-20.. I E-mailed the designer of the Bingo 20..He said "IT" should be the same weight as the 4-20 which was 48 ozs or 3 lbs..I'm going with the lite ply sides..The last E plane that I built I used balsa for the fuse sides and it was a major PIA.. Your 4-20 sure came out light only 35 with battery..My battery and E motor comes out close to 16 ozs..
My power system for the Bingo is a Scorpion 3020/12 should get 300 watts at around 29 amps with a APC e 10x5..So at if the Bingo AUW is 48 ozs that comes out too 100 watts/lbs.. Should more then enough power for this plane..
Thanks Again Dan
PS did post in the glow planes forum with out any luck..
