Default Engine head gasket material

What do you use? I need to make a custom gasket.

Thanks

You can do one of two things here. Go to your local auto parts store, where you can purchase sheets of gasket material, where you can cut your own. Or, if you determine that the engine in question as enough squish clearance at top dead center, you can leave the cylinder gasket out all together and use something like Yamabond, to create your seal.

The UC folks face this problem all the time since many use engines that parts are no longer made for. Buy a circle cutter and use the aluminum in pop cans.

Pop cans will do but may be a bit hard. The alu foil that food trays are made of is much softer, and compresses very well.
