Dragonfly 4#3 same size as Picoo Z
found this after looking for the 5G6 or 5#6 co-ax model. (i'm not a big fan of co-ax models)
said to be the same size as a Picoo Z.
4 ch fixed pitch.
anyone got or getting one?
[link=http://www.walkera.com/en1/particular.jsp?pn=Z24%2330104]walkera 4#3[/link]
looks like a lot more fun than the Picoo Z. I want to hear if anyone has any experience with this heli.

I am also listening, as I would love something small, but with more complete features than the 2 channel PicooZ style or 3 channel Micro Mosquito style.

My understanding is that this one is not due out till October, some sites (not mine) are taking pre-orders. I prefer to have it instock before advertising.

We just received some Walkera #5-5, the new palm sized 4ch dual rotor helis'. What a blast, perfect for in house flying and learing. I got more nose in time during one 8 minute battery run than i have from a whole day of batts on a #4, or TREX or bladeCP.
My new favorite right now is the #5-5.

edith228 or anyone can you post some video?
The walkera video is great however is not doing much apart from tail in and a small amount of forward flight.
Cheers

edith, is it hard to fly being so small?
now that i think about the size of this thing, maybe such a small 4 channel would be a handfull to keep under control.
co-ax could be more fun? but less challenging. (co-ax helis just don't look right to me [:'(])
i want to see a few videos / pictures other than the ones from Walkera too.
brettw, thanks for the link to Airborn RC.

Its quite easy to control than we expect.
i try to fly it in the office, very stable for hovering.

Incidentally, Greg from AirborneRC advised me that he is getting more mode 2 models in 6 weeks. I assume that will be in mid November when he gets the spare parts in.

Well, I got my 4-3 today.
First impressions - the box is tiny - 25 cm x 20 cm x 15 cm (10 inches x 8 inches x 6 inches for you metrically challenged Americans).
It is not the same size as a Picco z - it is about 20% larger.
The transmitter is tiny too - about half the size of the DF4 Tx (and they aren't interchangeable).
This thing is so much fun. I rate it as easier to fly than the DF4 and it is fast too for such a tiny copter.
My recommendation - if you are committed to indoor flying you must get one. In fact, if you are committed to flying you must get two because spares parts are not yet available.

I hear you Whistler,
My eyes are bigger than my bank account
the more you get, the more you want.

It is very addictive! (Or is it just me!?)
To quote Feric Jagger; "You must get one!" That goes for many helis out there.
Hopefully, I don't get my sights set on a T-Rex 600 next summer!

[link=http://www.airbornerc.com.au/]AirborneRC [/link] do not yet have spare parts in stock. However, last night I ordered some parts from [link=http://www.walkera-parts.com/shop/index.php?cPath=414]www.walkera-parts.com[/link]. They are a Hong Kong retailer (close to Australia and one of the best postal systems in the world). The postage was $US30 for $US80 in parts (which I think is acceptable).
Incidentally, I just received two Tower Pro style [link=http://cgi.ebay.com.au/2Set-x-SG90-9g-230mm-cable-Mini-Servo-for-Helicopter-GG_W0QQitemZ160168890133QQihZ006QQcategoryZ123847Q QrdZ1QQssPageNameZWD2VQQcmdZViewItem]SG90 9g Mini Servos[/link] (for my DF4) from [link=http://stores.ebay.com.au/RC-Megashop]an ebay retailer[/link]. The cost including postage was $AU13 and took 12 days to get here.

I just bought the Walkera 4#3 from ebay from mrtangerine, comes with extra blades and training kit !! The guy is selling the training kit separately too. The reason I bought it was because it came with a free set of training kit designed specially for the Walkera 4#3. Should help me get to grip with this thing, I hope !! uk seller too, so I didn't have to pay import tax.
