Throttle servo goes nuts
My problem is that when my engine is started my throttle servo will open the carb when i give throttle, but then almost immediately goes to full brake then back to throttle-ing up. I have a Dynamite Micro failsafe. any suggestions as this makes my t-maxx look and sound retarded because of having lots of fuel dump in for some speed and then shut off. Please help as this caused me to get pissed[:@] and chuck my truck and break rear bulks, skid, and bend a chassis and roll cage [X(]...........[].................

take the failsafe off...see if it still does it...if so...throttle servo is bad...there isnt much fixing u can do inside a throttle servo unless u really know what u are doing...and u can get a nicer one for not too much...

RE: Throttle servo goes nuts
my problem is that it only ever does it when the engine is running if its off its fine. Also hows this http://www.2coolrc.com/detail.aspx?ID=182 chassis
already know what my replacements will be for the broken parts: RPM skids, RC Raven Batt. and RX boxes, any other good, cheap bulks other than stocks (are the grey ones better than the black and will they fit a .15 maxx?

I had the same problem with my T-Maxx. It was related to the failsafe, but only happened with used batteries. I switched to an Ofna Rx pack and that cured the problem. As for the chassis, Fastlane makes some good stuff, so you'll probably be happy with it, but I'd put the 80 bucks toward a new motor instead.

RE: Throttle servo goes nuts
Problems like yours could be lots of things and can be real hard to find. I'll list a few possabilities but will probably miss some.
Bad crystal in the reciever
Loose metal-to-metal contact somewhere on the truck (and I mean absolutely anywhere on the truck)
Damaged or broken reciever antenna
Loose servo/battery wiring/connections
A bad battery in the hump pack
A bad solder joint on the reciever circut board
A bad servo
A bad on/off switch
A bad wiring connection (or wire) anywhere between the battery and the servo.
