I have thought about this myself. I have a Lil' Rascal with a Astro 010 14 turn motor. I use a TP1320 3s1p pack. I would like to use A123 packs with Sig Rascal 40.

Yes I saw the hobby lobby coversion too for rascal40...so do you have 2 rascals , one lil one 40 size?

I am sick of glow engine tuning, mess etc...

Hi,
Novi MI here. I was given a wrecked Rascal 40,4 major subgroups. Anyway, repaired it
and put a Phasor 30 with a 3SP 3200 pack, a 60 amp ESC(overkill) and an 11X7 prop.
Balanced it right on the CG, set factory throws, and it flies great. Not a pylon racer, but
will do whatever you want. Came in at 5#, ready to go. Mix a little rudder with you ailerons
for nice smooth turns. I will be flying this plane in winter with skis, too. Hope this helps.

I pulled a Super Tiger 40 out of my Rascal and installed an AXI 2826/12. Flys great on 3S4200 LiPo.

I used one of the Hobby-Lobby short combo kits on one of my planes. It has great power and nice flight times. I recomend them to anyone wanting to go electric.
