How to baffle a twin properly
Last weekend my Brison 6.4 seized midair. After a dead stick landing I found the rear jug was frozen solid. Luckily I got my replacement parts ordered and shipped. Is there a documentation available that would explain the proper baffleing method for a twin? I appreciate your inputs, guys.

Here is a link to A.I. "building a 3w plane" scroll down to where the engine baffling is constructed.

It's on page 13 and 14, hope you have better than dial up for this one.

Here is how I baffle my Brison 6.4 twin in a 300S. Note the turned down lip on the bottom of the cowl. You can get aluminum flashing at Lowe's or Home Depot. The black baffle is epoxied to the cowl and made from lite ply or balsa.
Seems that I read that you just recently got that engine. Cooling may even be more important than the kind of lubrication you use.

You are correct, Big Bird;
This is my first twin. Also I fly nothing but gassers, it seems that I missed something here. I didn't realize how critical proper cooling can be. At least for a twin. So this lesson cost me quite a bid some money and I will pay extra attention to proper cooling from now on. Thanks for your pictures

Air always wants to take the path of least resistance and without baffling that means going around the cylinders. I don't know of a single individual who has been successful with a twin in an Extra, CAP, Edge, etc. without baffling.
Best of luck.
