I love mine. I have Miss America in the .40 size.
Running a .46 Thundertuger, with plenty of power.
Looking to put something bigger in it soon.
Fly's really nice, and lands quite well, no bad habits
at all with mine. Cant seem to snap roll it.
I've got over 80 flights on it since January 5th and
she keeps on ticking.
Only bad thing I can say is the landing gear wires
are week. I replaced a set on mine already, no big
deal though.

A friend of mine has a Miss America also and has the same to say about it as burl. So I went out and got one myself, in military makeup. Besides it being winter here in nw CT, and the fact that I'm spending a lot of time making mine look like the REAL Flying Undertaker, it won't be airborne for a while. I CAN say that it has been by far an easier assembly than any of the Global ARFs that I've had!

Doing a search regarding the WM P-51 will result in a great deal of info.

The wm mustang was the first of many wm planes I've owned.
I had the Rockwell 40 with a YS-45 on it. It was a very stable screamer. landings were slow and uneventful. Never had any problems with the landing gear. All wm's stuff goes together extremely well.

Hey Shortman!!! I've built several of these, they are great just as they come, outside of some week gear. You can power them nicely with a .46 or get outrageous with a .61. My DagoRed is powered with a .75 and really fast. Dago is the heavier plane though with a fiberglass fusalage. There are slight differences in the styles too. The Rockwell version has a different elevator set-up, the silver warbird seems to be the most popular. C-ya laters Shortman.....

Same as what they came with, I also changed the foam
tires the plane came with to Dubro, low bounce rubber,
2 1/2" diameter, helps a lot better now on landings.

Great plane for the money. The hardest part is to decide which
color scheme. But lose the pilot that comes in the kit. Have you
seen their new biggie P-51 ?

Mustangs...
I had a very nice Dago-Red, Great flier! It also built easily, and was top notch, I would recommend one to you! I've also seen the new Big ones, They look just as nice~! Good Luck

stick with the balsa version. I got a Dago Red as my second plane and with a .80 four stroke, it was a BIG handful. Very fast and very difficult to land.

I have to agree with Randy...listening to you guys talking about flying while it's WINTER here is frustrating. It may be warmewr here in CT than it is down south this year, but real flying weather is still months away.
And yes, ditch that pilot. He looks too small anyway. I'm going to use the one that came with my Rambler. There's a Dollar Store Barbie in that cockpit!

WM P-51 GS
I am presently constructing the new Ridge Runnner model and it is beautiful! All parts fit very well, but this ship does take a lot of servos. The new retracts may actually be OK this time.

Hey Superdav,
I biult and have been flying the Miss America GS for a year. You NEED hi torque servos for ailarons, elevator and rudder. You'll love how this plane flies, almost like a trainer.

Ridge Runner...

I'm doing the Ridge Runner also.
The tail is done except for the doors. Have three Hitec Deluxe HS 425BB servos in the tail for the rud and elev and two more in the factory servo trays for the Robart #160 retractable tail wheel. One for the cable steering and one for the retracting push rod. Using a "Y" harness for the rudder and tail wheel steering.
Two more in each wing for ailerons and flaps and two Hitec Ultra Torque HS 645 MG servos for the main gear retracts.
I would have preferred spending the 100 bucks for the retract servos on the scale replacement gear that Robart is making for this bird but there not ready yet.
What engine are you using? I'm installing a Saito 180 GK with Perry pump. I just ordered the gun detail parts from Top Flite for there GS Mustang to stick on the leading edges of the wing, part # guns001, the dash decal #P51 gd 02 and the antenna #p51 gf35 all for about 10 bucks.
If I decide to install the Robart gear when it becomes available, I'll also install the aluminum wheels.
The plane will be ready for our fun fly on the 27th, the engine has already had two tanks of YS 20-20 through it.

I have thought long and hard on engine choices for this one and I really would like to go gas (ZDZ 40), but I think that it is very important to keep this bird as light as possible especially since I am going to try the stock mechanical landing gear. The YS engines really sound good too and feature pumped fuel for pretty trouble-free inverted mounting. Power should be about on par with your Saito 1.80 (have one of your S-180's also and love it on my H-9 Ultra Stick). I have mounted 2 HiTec high torque digital servos in the wing for the gears. Hope this will work. Am also using digitals everywhere else. At this time I am sticking with the stock tail gear, but will switch to the Robart later if not satisfied with the stock set-up.

I also have a H9 Ultra Stick with a Saito 1.80 on it, love that "crow". 200 feet over the end of the runway, chop the throttle and crow goes to "full" automatically, push the nose over and dive. Pull out to level at around 10 feet and do a three pointer. Now do it again and pull out at 5 feet...
Still working on the Ridge Runner, finally came up with a push rod configuration I like for the flaps and ailerons and just found out the JR servo arms I have don't fit Hitec servos so it's off to Sheldon's, their open till 8 tonight and it's 6:48 right now. It's a 20 minuet drive.
Think I'll fly my Byron Pitts tomorrow.
