What to buy ???
I had been out of the hobby for 8 or 10 years and about 5 or 6 weeks ago started to build a TF Spitfire, certainly "NOT" something that I intend to start to practice flying with after so many years.
I have to buy something that's "easy" to fly (I hate to use the word trainer) preferably .60 size or larger but that does not look like your normal trainer (something scale like Hangar 9's ARF Clipped Wing Taylorcraft ???).
Would love some input
Jay

You read my mind.

That's exactly what I was going to recommend. Stable enough to get you back in shape, but still with the ability to have some fun.
As I just posted in the thread "Spacewalker vs. Taylorcraft" I have flown giant scale aerobats for years but still would like to have the Taylorcraft. It should be a real pilot's plane, making you fly through your maneuvers instead of powering through.
Have fun, and welcome back.

H9's Advance 40 is a great practice plane and is somewhat forgiving. It should allow you to get back on the bike and start riding again.
I let new guys fly mine. Of course I watch them very closely!
Do you want to build or go with an ARF option?
High wing or low wing?

RE: What to buy ???
anyone know where I can buy one of these I know they are discontinued from hangar 9. I am sure there must be someone out there who has one they want to part with.

Jay if you think you are most capable to fly a scale plane after the hiatus then go for the following:
World Model Super Chipmunk (60/90 sized) - easy to fly enough but flies darn well
World Model Rambler 45 (40 sized) - definately nice to fly
