RE: drill start
What vehicle is this in? Usually, the spin start has a plastic cover to keep the hex or cup in the spin start assembly. It may be that you need a new one of those, but without knowing what you have its hard to say.

RE: drill start
Looks to me like the washer/sleeve that keeps the drive cup in place is no longer connected to the plastic cover. I'm guessing that its just pressed in there, which is not the best design.
I'm guessing you can't buy just a new plastic cover and press in the old sleeve. You probably have to buy the whole spin start system.
You could try to use some sort of adhesive to reconnect the sleeve to the cover, but I doubt there would be a way to make that last very long. Honestly, your best bet is to get a different one:
That one should work. The cross reference for the TigerDrive can be found [link=http://www.sullivanproducts.com/TigerDriveXrefmainframe.htm]here[/link]
The part # for the Vertex VX-18 is S702

Ive had that problem before, I too used some simple glue and it held pretty well. That said, I have the tiger drive on some of my cars and they dont fall out as easily.
