Default Which clone is closest to Trex 450SE v2?

Among the various Trex 450 clones, CopterX, HDX450, etc. which one is closest in design to the Trex 450SE v2, i.e. which comes closest to having 100% parts compatibility? I don't consider the RC-TEK diablo/sky shark to be clones since they have a different head and frame design.

When it comes to parts quality / fit & finish, which of the clones is closest to (or exceeds) Align?

ehirobo.com has some good pics of the copterx. From what i can see there is very little difference.

I have reports from my customers that the HDX450 is a great clone.

I'll go with CopterX as the closest clone to T-rex. Infact I got one of T-rex upgraded using the head and tail metal parts. All parts fits and works perfectly.

I have a HDX 450 V2 and it's is a great heli. The best part is that you can get it in the US. I bought mine from USHobbysupply.com. That's Michael's store here in the USA. He gave me a great deal and has excellent service. The CopterX is shipped from HongKong. That's where Ehirobo is located. The HDX only has one Align incompatible part that I know of. The feathering shaft. Otherwise I've used the Align main shaft, flybar, tail fins, and of course blades. Haven't broken anything else yet (knock on wood). The fit and finish is very good. The kit went together very easily, everything fit very well. There is a new review of the HDX in RCHeli magazine.

i have 2 black hawk 450's... they are a clone of the trex and almost every part of the trex will work on these.. this place is the best place to buy them.. very fast shipping and excellent customer service.

here is the se version.. they also sell the basic unit for about a hundred dollars cheaper.

I have the knock off from xheli.com and I love it. http://www.xheli.com/exi-450-arf-rc-helicopter.html I have already crashed it hard once. The entire rotorhead (save for the bent flybar) was completly intact. The feathering shaft wasn't even bent. I had to replace several parts on the tail rotot and so far as I can see this heli is 100% copatible just like they say. No, the parts aren't quite as thick and strong as the real T-rex but for $99 who's to complain. The only thing I found different was the flybar it came with was shorter than the one specked for the T-rex 450 SA V2, BUT, it flew just fine like that and I have already replaced it with the correct length after my crash.

Does anyone know which factory makes the CopterX? I am going to be in China in March and I would really like to stop by there and check what they have out.

I am close to Hong Kong. I will be in Shen Zhen just over the border. It looks like most of the helicopter suppliers are out of that area. I have found just about everyone but the one that makes and sells the Copterx.

Any 3D pilots using CopterX metal head/tail? I'm at the figure 8 inverted backward level and I need to increase power and headspeed. Since with "great power comes great responsibility", I should get metal parts before upgrading the 430x motor. Are Copterx as good or better than Aligns?

I have the copter X helis from the first version up to the latest updated version.. and it all works fine... for headspeed.. am running 3K governed on one heli..and the others are running 3.3K - 3.4K tached with 13T and 430L motor and 430XL.. The head holds no different from the Align ones..

for design.. its really the closest heli that you can get to match the TREX versions..

The copterx is the best I have seen at about half the price. The are now available in the USA at www.heli-bros.com I have a trex and the copterx and there is now difference in performance.

I got one from heli-bros just about a week or two ago. Comparing it to an Align, it's extremely similar. Not all parts look identical, but I would be suprised if any of them weren't interchangeable. Quality is unbeatable for the price. Heli-Bros shipped instantly. I ordered on Sunday and it got to my house in CA Wed. afternoon. Their communication was good too. I am always a little hesitant to mail order from companies I am not really familiar with, but these guys are solid in my experience.
