Help required for Newbie - Nitro Car won't start
Hello all,
Firstly let me apolgize if this is in the wrong forum but I can't seem to find 1/10 Off road Nitro forum
**
My son bought his first Nitro car at the weekend from a boot sale and so far I have spent two days trying to get it running. It has started probably half a dozen times but only for at most 5 seconds at a time before it splutters and dies.
Now I am totally new to this so I have spent the last 48 hours scouring forums and youtube for inspiration.
It is an HSP Atomic Warhead which I think is a the same as the Redcat Tornado BB just branded differently. Initially the problem seemed to be that fuel was not getting to the carb (however I tried priming it, even blowing wouldn't work). After hours spent checking for air getting in I think I have finally resolved this. I have also replaced the glow plug even though I now know the other was fine.
I think the problem may lie in the idle screw, needle valve and throttle spacing as these have all been messed with and I don't know what they should actually be. I have tried looking for the factory settings but cannot find them anywhere.
Can anybody help me with this as it is slowly driving me mad.
Any help would be extremely appreciated by the both of us.
Jason

Try the Redcat Racing forum. It doesn't have to be there but it would help. The HSP Attomic Warhead is the same car as the Redcat Tornado. Here is the Redcat Forum http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/forumid_427/tt.htm
