Not getting fuel.........
Hey everyone:
I have a stock T-Maxx 2.5. I was running it the other day and I was doing some high speed passes. As I slowed down, it would stall. So then I richened the high speed. And btw, the needles were good, clocking in a temp of 220 and I had good amounts of smoke and stuff. After I richened it, I let it cool back down and attempted to start it. Nothing. It seemed to me like I could prime it, but then it would start and not be able to suck up more fuel. So I replaced the lines, check the tank for air leaks, checked the glow plug, and reset the carb. Still the same results. Anyone know what the problem is? There must be an airleak somewhere......
Thanks,
Andy
btw, Happy Thanksgiving to everyone

RE: Not getting fuel.........
it just all of a sudden did this? that doesn't make any sense. first make sure you have plenty of fuel. if motor is flooded clear it up first. pop a new plug in it for grins. you said all lines were new? make sure o ring on gas tank top is ok. most of the time on my revo i have to trim it up a touch to start then once warmed up i can idle back down to normal. this causes the carb barrel to open slightly, as to take in more air. get it all put together and checked out. prime it till you see gas getting to the carb. if you don't see gas getting to the carb then you have an air leak somewhere. wheather it be your exhaust gasket, they blow sometimes, or craked pipe, stopped up nipple on the pipe. the engine has compression hey? i had trouble with mine dying out right after a high speed pass, checked everything, even glow plug, it was fine. put a new one in and no more problems. damned if i know. anyway it should start. if all these things are happening. one thing i did on my revo was shortened the fuel line, makes it soooooo much easier to start, and put in a dubro fuel filter. good luck and happy bashing.....
