Default RE: charging lipo?

assuming the charger is designed for lipos...you could charge at up to 2.2A

If you are in no hurry you can charge it at 1A ... 2A is also fine but do your best not to exceed 1C (2,200 mAh pack 1C means 2.2A). Some of the newer batteries of 25C and 30C can handle charging rates of 2.5C and 3C respectively BUT the manufacturers will advice you not to unless its an absolute must, I guess it will shorten the life span of the battery.

Think it's always good advice to charge them slower if possible and will probably extend the battery life but there's o reason why you can't charge themk at 2.2A.
I only recently bought a balancer and it seems to have given my bettreies a bit of a boost as they seem to take that extra 150 / 200 mah after charging and added approx 1 1/2 minutes flight time to them since I've started using it on my 2170's

thanks guys
when you buy the batteries they warn about charging more then 1A.
and saw that you can buy charger that go up to 5A.
so i figured we could charge faster.
so if I charge at 1C i should be good.

tarzan -

The warning that I see from lipo vendors is to charge at no more than 1C. I've never seen a specific charge rate listed, because it varies with the capacity of the pack.

For example, a 850 mAh pack should be charged at a maximum of 850 mA. A 1500 mAh pack could be charged at 1.5A. A 2200 mAh pack at 2.2A.

A few vendors sell packs that can be charged at more than 1C.
