RE: RC-TV
If you have Direct TV then you can watch a show called Radio Controlled Hobbies that comes on the DYI channel (do it yourself channel). They always have all different kind of stuff on there and is pretty cool. They host is REAL NERDY though but fun to watch.

RE: RC-TV
First, Hi guys, this is my first post but I have been reading for a few weeks and learned a lot about my Volcano. I've just recently gotten into R/C, thanks to my nephew, and having way more fun than someone my age should have doing this!
I had to reply to this post because I saw the originator, Zeen420, is from Listowel, Ont, about a 1/2 hour away from where I live in Mitchell.
To Zeen: My brother-in-law works at Hudson's GM dealership and has talked about a couple of the guys he works with being into R/C too. Any chance you're one of them? It's him and his son that got me into this, we've been having a ball bashing our trucks so far.
Cheers,
Mike

RE: RC-TV
LOL wow small world, Umm, but nope, not one of them but probably know them, I used to pocket bike with a guy from there, but, Mitchell eh? I've been playin with R/C all my life but not wanted to take it to the next step and go nitro and start racing. My new buggy should be here soon ( 1/10 Tornado BB ) and i kinda got the idea how to break it in and even start it lol, so we'll see what happens. oh ya, would you know of a hobby shop around here that i could get nitro fuel from? seen a couple in K-W, also you know of any tracks too?

I've been going to a shop in London for my local needs like fuel, etc. It claims to be the largest in SW Ontario and has quite good prices.

My nephew bought the new Sportwerks Reaction stadium truck down in KW for like 349, this place has it for 299.
We haven't been racing or anything, just having fun. I think I've heard of one or two tracks in London, but nothing closer than that yet.
Cheers,
Mike

RE: RC-TV
I watch the show when I can, which isn't too often, but I enjoy it when I do. Its great to see some Canadian coverage.
The guys over at AVF are great for nitro stuff, but there is also [link=http://www.amazinghobbies.com/]Amazing Hobbies[/link] and [link=http://www.byronrc.com/]ByronRC[/link]. The owner of Amazing hobbies is German and has a bit of an accent but he really knows his stuff and is up to date on everything, the store has a few 1/5th gassers and a ton of model kits as well as all the regular stuff if you are into that. ByronRC is a mini shop, they stock mainly for 1/18ths, have an indoor on/off road track, and race 2 nights a week and Saturdays. The track we have is [link=http://www.sammysspeedway.com/]Sammy's Speedway[/link] ([link=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dS9ai-EEF-w]clips[/link]), I don't race so I don't really know if it is any good. Getting farther away from you in Strathroy there is [link=http://www.greatcanadianhobbies.ca/index.html]Great Canadian Hobbies[/link], a track that has a small store open during race hours. There is a store or track in Hamilton somewhere for sure, I just can't think of the name...........they are into 1/8th onroad. [link=http://forums.londonrc.com/index.php]LondonRC[/link] is a great place to meet people in SW Ontario that are into RC.

RE: RC-TV
It's nice to see the show is back on the air. I used to watch it regularly on OLN and they took it off the air back in June for some odd reason.
