3W 150 RPM?? Mufflers????
Hi
I got a 3W150 with TMW mufflers.
With one of the new 3W 3D 31x14x8 cfk props it turns 5200RPM.
It is very difficult to adjust - very slow on the throttle.
The guys from 3W say that the mufflers will not do, only there own will do.
My questions are?
How many rpm is normal for this engine with this prop?
What do ýou guys say about mufflers? Can it be true that the TMW aint good enough?
Best

Exactly 5200 here too
Hello Poul,
On a DA150 with Pefa mufflers, we registered exactly 5200 also. A low in the power band for the DA, but I believe perfect for the 3W. No, this prop does not shoot from the hover, but it does the small box 3D extremely well. It hovers and gives great rolling torque to get the airplane spinning, and it has extraordinarly low speed pull in the 3-4K range.
I think you are in the perfect band for the 3W150 and this prop. It just takes a little while to get used to the flight envelope that this meat cleaver was design for.
