Ugh! I can't get my Revo 3.3 running right. Anyone in SoCal want to help?
Purchased a Revo 3.3 a few months back, never even ran the 3.3 and instead ran a OS .18TM. It didn't run right, I thought it was the engine and sent it back to OS. They sent me a new motor, but in the meantime I installed the 3.3 back in. Never re-installed the OS 18tm but the 3.3 is experiencing the same symptoms as the original OS motor.
The problem I am having is erratic idle, and it's just not running right. I have tried numerous steps.. Maybe I am just doing something wrong? Even my friend with many many years of R/C experience couldnt really tune it correctly. I have replaced the glow plug, fuel line, and exhaust coupler thiknking there is a leak somewhere.
Anyone located in SoCal (Los Angeles area) that doesn't mind taking a look at this thing? I would take it my LHS but they don't really seem too content on fixing anything as they think who knows what.
Thanks!

it could be the exhaust nipple where the fuel line connects to. it might be clogged up. or the fuel tank has a leak. try and clean it all out and maybe buy a new tank if you think that might be it. check out the servo and linkage too. is the servo tweaking out to make the engine RPMs go up and down?

Nope, checked the servos.. Also I forgot to mention. With the fuel line running to the carb, and when I try to prime it, sometimes no fuel will even get to the tank. But the second I take the fuel line off the carb, and turn the motor over, fuel will flow perfectly through the line.

are you using the same exhaust on both motors?? if so, it sounds like some kind of exhaust prablem to me.../ not enough pressure going to the tank... how much fuel line are u using and are u using a filter? if so, try shortining the line and removing the filter...if the o ring in the filter leaks a little that will cause your prablem..? it has to be something with pressure to the tank, check for leaks/ blockages...i had the same prablem with my maxx and it was the nipple on the bottom of the tank, it had dried up fuel in it...

I love to help but you are 2 hours away from me...
we would like to know how do you prime your engine? do you cover the exhaust tip? if so... you might have problems with your exhaust or your fuel tank... also check your LSN play... make sure that there's no bindings.

Prime engine by holding finger over exhaust tip. I also tried by putting my finger over the carb opening, and no fuel got to it. But fuel gets to it if I remove the fuel line off the carb.

Yea same exhaust, same fuel tank. I will try taking a look at it today and cleaning it out
