Steering Servos For revo
Well ive had many questions answered here and im not quite done asking them... sorry guys. My stock steering servos on my 2.5r revo are real glitchy, they twitch like crazy all the time. I havnt messed with any of the electronics on my revo so im hoping that changing/upgrading these wont be very hard. What i need is a good servo setup that works with the revo, preferably one that dosnt require much modification. I have heard that single servos are good but as i said i know nothing about these things.
Any suggestions on what to buy to have very responsive servos without denting the wallet to bad... it get real light latley lol

RE: Steering Servos For revo
a single high tq steering servo is your best bet....it all depends on how much you want to spend...a good servo starts at about 40 bux and goes up from there...

all you need is......
integy single servo arm $15
cheaper blue bird servo $40
jr radio and receiver $115
you can go higher with...
hitec 300oz torque servo $120
spektrum dx3 radio and receiver $250
the servos and radio are soooo easy to install all you
have to do is follow the lines and unplug then plug in

personal preference
you can get a dx3 for $175 with no second receiver or servos
or the whole kit with 2 receivers and 2 servos for $250
plus the spektrum matches my orange can lol

RE: Steering Servos For revo
You can do a Single Servo Steering Mod fairly cheap, You need a servo and Servo Horn link for parts beow.
[link=http://www.impaktrc.com/product_info.php?cPath=153_156&products_id=317]Hitec HS-985MG High Torque Coreless Servo[/link]
[link=http://www.impaktrc.com/product_info.php?products_id=230]Traxxas REVO Servo Horns (for non-Traxxas servos)[/link]
This best way to do this remove both servos put the new one on the side the air filter is on you will need to use the servo horn in the package that has Hitec on it will look like the horns that are on the stock servos. When you are done you will have one side of the steering arm that is not being used, most people cut this off. you may also want to get a Heavy Duty Servo Saver Spring you can get it here --> [link=http://www.impaktrc.com/product_info.php?products_id=114]Traxxas REVO Heavy Duty Servo Saver Spring[/link]. Here is a link for some info that might help you also --> [link=http://www.traxxas.com/support/index.php?action=artikel&cat=143&id=472&artlang=en]Revo Performance Set-Up Guide (part 2)[/link]

RE: Steering Servos For revo
thanks everyone, i found out that my servos arent bad i had the pivot ball caps to tight and the wheels were not turning freely enough, i am now deciding on whether to make it a single servo steering or put the advantage carbon fiber chassis on it..... i dont know which one to do. (cant afford both)
I like Hillfingers set up so far it kinda in my price range.
