I just wanted to thank you guys for the input about hobby shops. I called and talked to Jamie @ boomtown and he was great. My lhs could not be bothered to help me unless I was buying a new unit. Even though I bought less than $50 worth of stuff he still spent the time on the phone with me to help. And if his website has things listed as out of stock, you might want to call him, he sometimes keeps x-tras in his "private stash" (hope I don't get him in trouble). Anyway he knew alot of you guys by your screen names (Soloboss, goldslinger etc.) So he does check out this site even if he doesn't post. Just FYI.

I am new to RC heli so I have only made one purchase from Boomtown but I can tell ya Jamie shipped faster than any company I have ever done business with!
While on the subject, I have also purchased from BP Hobbies and they also were very fast with getting my order to me.

He does post here, just not very often. I have bought many things from him. I have not been flying the CX much (moving soon) so I have not needed parts from him. Excellent service though! Thanks Jamie for the random things in the box

I'll chime in also, just received a carbon tail boom kit, indestructible skids and extended inner shaft from Boomtownhobbies. One of the best vendors I've ever delt with. Jamie spent 10 minutes plus on the phone with me, I ordered that night and had my items in record time, maybe 2-3 days from Oregon to Kentucky.
I highly recommend the skids and tailboom. The skids are very flexible and the heli flys MUCH better with the tail boom kit in my opinion. I have yet to install the extended inner shaft. Simply a fantastic company, product and business owner.

I think it's stersman, or something like that. No, Jamie doesn't post very much, but he does monitor these forums. ANother great vendor who is very active on RCU is USHOBBYSUPPLY.com. Talk to Michael. DOn't get me wrong, Jamie is a great person to buy from as well. I usually divide my purchases up between them because I like both of their service and dedication.
