WM Extra 300s
I just got my WM Extra 300s in yesterday. I'm going to use an OS 160 FX that came out of my crashed Giles 202. The model looks really great and can't wait to get started on it.
Any helpful assembly tips you can pass along to help avoid the mistakes that always look so simple to have avoided after you have made them would really be appreciated.

Thanks for the comments. I have received a few emails as well. A friend has one of these at our our club and is happy with the 160. it may not be the perfect power for torque rolls, but I honestly haven't gotten to that kind of flying to date. As for the model, this is a bute. I purchased one with the purple and teal color scheme. It's a nice looking airplane.

Roger I have the same color/plane.
I posted to you other thread about this plane as well.
I have no problems with the 1.60 vertical or
other manuevers.
tork rolls, not really, but I aint into that..yet
I think it is a fine big plane a good transition aerobatic
plane to get yourself familiar with IMAC type flying?
all I can tell you is I enjoy the plane/engine combo very much, I would not have built it any other way.
I have flown my friends GP Wagstaff with Moki 2.10 and yes,
it doesnt have that power, but it still looks and flys great

Thanks burl,
I'm not into torque rolls to date either so this engine should be fine for my skill set. A friend of mine has the same combo at our club and he is very happy with his. I guess it's all about what you are comfortable with. I have a G.P. Pitts Special with a Fuji 50 gas engine. It's a handful for me and about as challenging as I can handle at this time. I was looking for an airplane that I can fly that won't be so hard on my knees. The Giles was like this and I really enjoyed flying it until I lost it last weekend.
Thanks again for your input.

Your welcome Roger, the WM 300 wont hurt your knees
I enjoy flingin it around in the sky. I have 38 flights to date
on it. I am going to start adjusting the CG on it now. It
is slightly nose heavy, and I am going to adjust that to be slightly
tail heavy.
have fun with yours. If you have any other questions
feel free to ask.
