Default JR 12X module info:

Just spoke with John Adams @ E-fest and learned the new 12X/m module based system will NOT use the older modules but a new design specific one that, is synth to model program matching like the 7202 internal synth. They also have no plans to offer a module in the HAM freq bands.

I've never read this before, so I guess I might as well consider buying 2.4module for current model TX's for most flexibility versus awaiting the 12X. The Futaba FASST module from Robbe does look interesting now as well.

I personally am running Spektrum and Futaba as stand alones for my own evalution of this new technology as I know how polarized and biased this FORD/CHEVY debate can be. I flew Futaba from 1975-1985 when they left the heli fliers hanging then went JR 1985-current, bought a 6X FASST last season and extremely pleased to date. I just cant overlook the free trade market that exists with the Spektrum lineup. Everyones a dealer and I can find many places to buy new as well as second hand for unbelievable prices, The marketing strategy of Spektrum is unlike years past and this puts Futaba at a disadvantge as it most likely will follow the more traditional dealer MAP policy IE " EXPENSIVE "
