G2 Problem with Windows XP
I upgraded my computer to Windows XP. My Real Flight G2 flight sim worked fine on Windows 98. However, now when I click on the G2 icon, the program initiates, but I don't get a picture. I can hear the plane running and the music playing, but there is no picture of the field or anything. The tool bar is at the top. What can I do to remedy this issue? Thanks.

Take your wife to the hobby store and have her buy you a new G3.5, that should fix it. Donate your G2 to the club for a new pilot loaner. My old G2 is currently with a new member.

RE: G2 Problem with Windows XP
G2 worked fine on my older Dell with XP...but does the same thing as yours on my new Dell that I downgraded from Vista to XP. It did not work with Vista btw! I thought about upgrading to the new version, but G2 is fine. I like to use it to refresh the hands after not flying RC for a while. Maybe I can figure it out when I get to go back home in May...

Yep, got the G3.5 and problem solved. I have that download patch, but it did not fix the G2. Oh well, I'll mess with it more later.

Have you tried running it in compatability mode?
Right click on the program icon and pick the Compatability tab, then pick "Run this program in compatability mode" and choose Win 98 in the window and then hit APPLY. Some times it works, some times it does not but it is worth a try.
