Police Siren on my TC3
I have ordered the Parm Police car body for my Nitro TC3. I have a 3 channel radio. On the 3rd channel I want to add where I can turn a police siren on and off.
Does anyone know where I can get a siren for my Nitro TC3?

make one It really wouldn't be that hard. An easy way would be get the lightbulbs and whatever set up on the top, and then find somewhere to mount the 3rd servo, even if its mounted to the body its alright. Make it when the servo is turned it connects 2 pieces of metal which create a complete circut making the lights go on, and whatever you want to power the sound.

I think I found something that might work - Yeah the engine is loud but my kids would love if we can hear it over the noise of the engine.

They love police cars and fire trucks. My kids are ages 4 and 6.
I am putting a 2 speed tansmission in my TC3 and upgraded the radio and receiver. Now I am putting a Parma Chevy Caprice police car body on it and want a siren.
I think it will be cool if it works. I figure the 3rd channel on the radio and be set for the on off switch.

yea i have wanted to do that b 4 too, my only concern was how to hook it up so that the third servo could switch the lights... it would need to be a really rock solid foundation that if the body bent.. none of the wires would get messed up. maybe you could get servo wires.. and plug the one end to the reciever and the other you could splice and connect with the lights and batteries... i dont know.

I thought about getting some lights for RC cars off of Ebay to try and make the police lights. Knowing the siren and lights would add extra weight. I am adding a 2 speed tranny to my car. With the extra weight it should help me out racing at the LHS parking lot.

my kids have a police car about the same size as the 1/10 scale cars. You could try getting one of those and stealing the electronics and light from that. I believe as long as the 3rd channel is activated then power would be applied at whatever the voltage of the pack is (4.8 or 6) and you can use that to power the electronics.

ya just make sure you use a long lasting battery pack, such as a 1800 mah nimh. Im not sure if your body would be able to take the wieght of a servo without bending in. mayeb you could make a support that comes from the chassis. Anyways i would cut a rectangle in the body then drop the servo in and drill wholes and you bolts to bolt it on just like you would with a wooden mount on a rc airplane. then you could run a support form the chassis. you could use double sided servo tape to hold the lights on, or you could bolt them aswell.
