Default Building a rigger, question about sponson.

I am building a Dumas outrigger. I am working on the right sponson. My question is: should I leave this edge where the 2 bottom pieces meet sharp as in the picture, or shold I smooth it out? The instructions dont say anything spicifically about it and there are no pictures of the bottom of the sponson. The only thing it does say is you can round the edges on the top, but all the surfaces that ride on the water should be left sharp. Anyone know what to do at this point?

Is the pics the top or bottom? You want a flat bottom with 90* edges if possible.

The pics are of the bottom. It is not straight across. They are at different angles.

On the bottom ride surfaces, ALL corners should be SHARP cornered and not rounded off.
