Anyway to get water out of wheels?
I was bashing my savage, in some wet conditions and now I have water in my wheels. I have the stock dirt bonz tires and wheels that come with the X SS kit. Is there any way to get the water out, aside from removing the tire from the rim? At this point, high speeds are very funny to watch, as the whole truck vibrates like a cheap hotel bed.

if it's got venting holes it'll dry out over time. Maybe warm them up in a oven? Clothes Dryer (on the rack)? Just an idea.

You can't do it Captain, it just won't have the power.
Oddly enough I to had this happen to me from a very dumb idea of mine (one of several)
I decided the best way to clean my Dirty Emaxx tires, was to put them in the washing machine. It seemed like a good idea at the time.
Anway I had to ring those dry by rolling them around and squeezing. Then I put them in the Oven at warm 125F overnight or about 12 hours. If you think I learned my lesson you would be wrong. I have also stuck brushed and brushless motors, and entire RC cars into the oven with sometimes bad results. BTW the tires melted to the wrack from this[] Oh and glue failed later. Also they smelled of Beef Jerkey, since I figured I might as well get some more use from the oven.
......You know you might want to take someones advice

My dad had a set of LST tires that he washed in a bucket of water. Not all of the water was removed, and later they smelt nasty. I am very careful to wash my tires now. I barely turn the hose on, and try to only get the tread wet. A lot of times I don't even clean my 1/8 tires. They get dirty during warm up anyways, and any dirt or mud that sticks to them doesn't stay very long.
I have heard that a good way to dry them is to put holes in the center of the treads, put them back on the car, and go full throttle. You'll never get all of it out if the inside of the tire has ribs.
lol, I have some very old 1/10 tires where I know the foams are completely disintegrated. They crunch when I pick them up. A lot of my tires don't last long enough to where I worry about it.

I guess that washing with a sponge and minimal water will work for most tires.
On-topic: Would a very small hole in the tire make sense to remove the water, or it would destroy the tire? Just an idea!

I always vent my 1/8 tires. Two small holes opposite each other. Centripetal action forces any water or dust out of the tire.

I put 3 tiny holes in the actual tire. When you run WOT everything in the tire will get flung out. make sure you make the holes nice and neat and the tire will last a long long time. I plug the holes in my rims with permatex as well. That way nothing gets on the inside of the foam (dirt sand and grime) so the only venting is thru the tire holes. I have found this system to be awesome. I would guess my holes are about 1mm in diameter

let the truck sit for a while and just make sure the wheels vent is on the bottom side, then squeeze the tires, water will come out pretty easy....

The water is not from cleaning. The water is from me bashing through puddles and creeks. I will try a few small holes on the outside of my treads next time out.
