Step 2. Polish said chassis.
Step 3. Put it on the shelf and never use it.
This is the only way you'll have a pristine chassis.

I've seen some lexan undercovers you can buy. Usually you have to cut your own from a sheet of lexan.

take everything off the chasis, coat it with real car body repair stuff, let it dry. sand it down roughly, then finely, then buff it and re drill and couter sink all your holes... but seriously dood, why?

What the heck is up with eveyone! All this guy is looking for is advise on how to polish the botom of his chassis. He doesn't need all the dumb comments.

use a palm sander start with a heavy grit like 60 and move up to 600. rub in some mothers polish and then you have a blink blink chassis. i would then cover it with a few layers of clear packing tape.

125 that's the funniest thing I've read in a long time wiping before you poop, I have tears in my eyes lol thanx for starting my day off right!
Oh and I agree, unless you plan on shelfing your machine Bosley, don't bother with scratches, if it's that important to you, then buy a new chassis, they're not that expensive anymore. Depends what you want to do with it man.
