Engine Break In Stand
Hello,
I am wondering what is the best way to go about building a engine test/break-in stand. Can anyone post up some pictures or plans on how to build one???
Thanks
Jason

HI Jason;
For engines alone... I don't know.... BUT if the engine is in an Airplane!
I swear by the Meroke Airplane Start up benches. They are primarily used at your field to assemble your plane and start or tune an engine. But there is nothing to say that you cannot build one for your own use at home!

Good Luck!

Whatever you decide to do at least make it portable and capable of accepting a wide range of engines.
Pictures are an example, from .049 to 1.2 FS.

It all depends how complicated you want to go, This one comes from a school science fair project. It gives both thrust and RPM.

Yukonflyr,now that is a test stand,when I first saw it I thought that if the sq.tube was replaced with a rd.tube you could use it as a post hole digger.I should have kept my roach holder from the 70s. pub
