Default Glass Covering Question...

Do you have to fully sheet all areas prior to glass covering. In other words if I wanted to strip the monocote and recover with 5 oz. glass does the wing need to be fully sheeted first.

Default Glass Covering Question...

Yes, glassing really has to be done over some type of backing. It will not work well over open structures.

Default Glass Covering Question...

Your best bet is to be fully sheeted. Remember cover as well as glass has allot to do with the strength of your aircraft. Also can I recommend 2 oz glass. will save you some weight and is plenty strong. Don't forget to thin your epoxy 50% with alcohol. Will come out beautiful.

Regards,
