Try to do it at dusk. If you do it at just the right time when it's not too light and not too dark you'll get a balance where you can see both the heli and the lights. If it's too dark it'll just look like a bunch of lights floating around in the dark. [sm=thumbup.gif]

i got them from my local hobby store. gravesrc. go to gravesrc.com to find it but there website kinda sucks. its hard to find stuff on it. but the store is enormous with all kinds of rc stuff. the kits sells for 25 bucks. u can add additional lights to the kit with additional led's that cost 5 bucks for 2 lights. my first kit had 4 led's ...two flashing with adjustable flash rate and the other is constant. the second kit i got 8 lights presoldered on the thing. that's a total of 12 very bright led's. no problem at all flying at night now as it can be seen from a far.

So on the HBK2 there is an extra Chanel you can plug into? how much does using the lights take away from air time.

those led don't effect fly time at all. maybe 10 seconds at most. they don't draw too much power but they are very bright.

today is a big day for it. i'm going to plug in my dx6 radio and the 3800kv motor. just bought a dremel. hope everything goes as plan.

update. finished installing the 3800kv motor and omg its supersmooth. still can't figure out the dx6. does any know how to raise the collective on the dx6? seems like i have more negative than positive at o throttle in both normal and idle up. someday i'm going to figure it out. but for now the old tx will have to work. at least the motor was installed and working flawlessly.

will film some night flying tonight with the new motor and pretty colors of the leds[8D]
