Blackhawk 500 cf
Hey guys,
I am thinking about getting a Helipro Blackhawk 500. I''d like one because it''s bigger than say a t-rex 450 or similar heli, but still not as ext=pensive as a 600 size. Eventually i''d like a raptor 30 or something, but whatever. I was wondering what you guys think of the bh500. I''ve heard good things about the blackhawk 450, and i''d like to know if anyone has any experience with the 500. Any immidiat upgrades i should if i get it? I plan on getting a better brushless motor, better gyro, cf flybar paddles and tail rotors. Thanks for your time guys =-]

Good choice for an RTF. Go for it. The 500 is pretty much just a 450 with a longer tail boom so all the good things you''ve heard about the 450 should also apply to the 500. I''d fly it for a little bit before I started upgrading it. A 2800kv motor isn''t very big for a 450 let alone a 500 but there are a lot of bigger motors avalable that a 40AMP ESC will handle so that would be a pretty cheap upgrade.

So do you think i should go with the 450 then or the 500? Because i kinda want a bigger heli, so it is more stable and can handle the wind better...

What are you used to flying??
I chose the 450se because it had the cnc head and the parts were relatively cheap. It''s fairly durable too, but you don''t wanna be crashing it too often. I also figured the lighter weight would give me a little more flight time.

I''m used to flying a hbk2 and a falcon 3d. I dont really want tho 450 se. I''d like either the 500 or the 450 (not se), because the regular 450 is pretty cheap. But i kinda want the bigger one because i already have a smaller heli and i also want something thats more stable, heavier (better in wind), and something i can upgrade and fly easier. Ugh, i dont know what to chose...

I am also starting to think about the dragonfly 68b all metal heli.

What do you guys think about this one? I know it''s pretty small and all, but it seem alright...
I also saw this shark cf 450:

This looks pretty sick. It looks like my old falcon 3d, but all cf and with some changes to the swashplate and head. What do you guys think of this. I would definetly consider this heli...
Edit: I just realized that the shark 450 has absolutely no part support that i can find...
Argg. I can't afford the hurricane, and i cant find the HDX 500 anywhere...

RE: Blackhawk 500 cf
I ahve decided to just get the Black Hawk 450 rtr. I will use the extra money i would have spent on the 500 on upgrades, because i am going to get a t-rex 600 in the next few months anyway. Thats for your help guys!
